Rock Your Blog

First, it is all about topic! Your audience will be interested if you are. Otherwise your post will be boring and dull. The ultimate downfall of blogging is lost interest.

The next key is to plan plan plan! Not only know your topic up and down but also outline your post before hand. This will help your finale accomplish simplicity making it easy for readers to follow!  Provide accountable sources for creditability!

Some great simple tips include:

Step 1: Understand your audience

Step 2: Start with a topic and working title

Step 3: Write an intro (and make it captivating)

Step 4: Organize your content

Step 5: Write!

I find the first step to hold great importance. Before you start to write, have a clear understanding of your target audience. What do they want to know about? Will this post get them thinking? Consider what you know about your target and their interests while you’re coming up with a topic for your blog post.

When you have competed all that typing you can gain visibility and catch attention by adding photos, sayings or videos related to your post! This makes readers more engaged in what you’re discussing and gives them a short break from reading. This provides a good balance for readers!

Being a communications and marketing major I am interested in working for a corporate PR firm or in public affairs! I will ultimately be working with social media or implementing these tips into campaigns put together for large companies. Weather my goal will be gaining followers or impressions I will use specific wording to gain direct attention of a certain target audience which can be done through blogging!
